First track showcasing the new sound of HARDLAND. Still 80s, still melodic, still rock, but with greater depth, more transparency and larger than life!
What are we doing here, searching?
This brutal attack
We weren’t prepaired for impact
Confusion, loss and despair
Our hope, our dreams are shattered
All gone in a blow
Who will be called the enemy
When it’s time to go
Why do we ask these questions, when the answer is clear
We had the signs and warnings, danger and no control
Work on mobilization, leadership is gone
Our hope, our dreams are shattered
All gone in a blow
Who will be called the enemy
When it’s time to go
My love, my friends, my children
All faded away
How do I fight for freedom
When there’s no reason to stay
All of my hate is building up, artillery’s here
The men and supplies are gathered, ready to attack
No longer time for tears and grief, countdown to strike
Gaining hope in allies, leaving this bomb shelter behind
My love, my friends, my children
All faded away
How do I fight for freedom
When there’s no reason to stay
My love, my friends, my children
All faded away
How do I fight for freedom
When there’s no reason to stay

Hardland's history is special. The band started as a project of the singers and multi-instrumentalists Aeilko Venema and
Paul Evers. From the moment they started recording, quality was immediately the highest priority: the mastering in the legendary Abbey Road Studio in London was provided by the veteran Sean Magee. Final result is great melodic alternative rock music....more
There's quite a strong Fleetwood Mac vibe running through this EP, especially on the song Tell Me Now, and The Ticking Tide as well. These two solo artists, both already creators of wonderful music in their own rights, work beautifully together. I'm hoping for more great songs from them in the future. Storm of Crows
Boston post-punk outfit Junk Ranchers broke up in 1986 before this, their debut album, was released; darkly melodic, it's a long-lost gem. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 22, 2020

If you’re mad for young guitar bands like Momma and Feeble Little Horse, L.A. four-piece Rocket are sure to hit your alt rock sweet spot. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 5, 2023
I discovered this lively album in advance of our November holiday. As always, I prepared some "soft" but honest albums for the road and "Grow" turned out to be one of the favourites. Rose's smooth vocals fit very well to the catchy soft rock or grunge light anthems. "Elevate", "The Lines" or "Election Song" are three of the album's hits. H.L.
